I've never read a romance novel before and since this one offered itself as a short read I thought I would give it a try. Not only was this story poorly written, it was full of spelling mistakes and grammatical errors. I was shocked to read so many good reviews and appalled to know that this author is on the New York Times Best Seller list. Worries me for the state of modern literature and I feel sorry for genuine writers who are fighting to get published in a sea of sub par writing. I can admit that sometimes people want to read lite and fun fiction, but that should be no excuse for poor craftsmanship. I'm even more disappointed in the iBooks store for promoting this piece as their Book of the Week offering. The spelling mistakes alone should be enough to pull this off the "shelves." Was this a first draft that was accidentally published?
