“Be an explorer...read, surf the internet, visit customers, enjoy arts, watch children play...do anything to prevent yourself from becoming a prisoner of your knowledge, experience, and current view of the world.”
This place doesn't look as big on the outside but holly molly this place is huge. It took us an hour just to go through 2 floors of this place and we literally ran through the 2nd floor! Keep in mind though that we stopped and digested every single piece of art on the first floor. We left floors 3-5 for another day.
Laumeier Sculpture Park
We walked around this place for hours. I haven't been here for a few years and I'm sure some of the sculptures are the same but it was like going someplace completely new. The nature trails were very impressive, you can't tell there is dense city life around you at all and, except for a pervert who sneaked up behind us (while masturbating), the experience was rather pleasant.
Lafayette Square and Park
One of my favorite parks in St. Louis is Lafayette Park. It is gorgeous and surrounded by Victorian style homes on all four sides. The area has a bunch of cute restaurants, shops, and cafe's including Park Avenue Coffee which has 64 different flavors of gooey butter cake. What is gooey butter cake you ask? Go to St. Louis and find out.
The End

A few days ago; I went out with a friend around St. Louis enjoying some free activities and cheap food. Here was the itinerary for the day:
Grand Arts Center
Walked around the area, made mental notes to visit The Fox Theater , The Grandel Theater, Third Baptist Church, Xavier Church, Powell Symphony Hall, and to check out the many art galleries and museums I haven't been to yet.
While at Grand Arts Center we visited the Saint Louis University Art Museum.

Me telling a story about the reconstruction of the Gran Arts Center area and my friend Jesus taking a pic...notice how animated I am....I get like that when I'm excited...
